A Geoptie alternative for local businesses, with the pricing explained
Geoptie is a generative engine optimisation (GEO) platform that tracks how brands appear in AI answers and offers a set of free GEO tools. As listed on 7 October 2026, its Starter plan costs $49 a month, or $490 a year, for 15 prompts tracked daily on any four of seven AI engines, at country level.
For a business with one address, the more useful Geoptie alternative is a check built around its town rather than its country. Peekl's one-time $99 audit asks ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude the fifteen questions a local customer would type, three times on each, then names the competitors picked instead of you and ranks up to 12 fixes.
We read Geoptie's pricing page, free-tool pages and terms on 7 October 2026 and did not trial its paid product. Geoptie is the better pick for a startup, a brand or an agency that wants daily tracking plus content and audit tools at a low monthly price. Peekl suits an owner who wants to know whether AI recommends them in their town and what to change.

Geoptie pricing in October 2026
Geoptie Starter costs $49 a month billed monthly ($588 over a year), or $490 billed yearly; its pricing page shows the yearly equivalent, about $41 a month, by default. Starter covers 15 monitoring prompts and two brands, and there are three plans in all, read on 7 October 2026. Professional is $99 a month or $990 a year for 100 prompts, ten brands, white-label reports, a REST API and an MCP server. Enterprise is $399 a month or $3,990 a year for 400 prompts and unlimited brands, with 100 more prompts at $99 a month. Yearly billing means "you pay for 10 months and get 12".
Every plan refreshes daily, includes unlimited team members, and is month-to-month with no long-term contract. Geoptie's terms say fees already paid are not refundable except where the law requires it. Check Geoptie's pricing page for current figures.

Geoptie free tools: what they cover and what they don't
Geoptie's free tools are a real strength, and the ones below need no signup. The free GEO audit checks a page for citation readiness and other factors. The AI visibility checker tests ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini. A free rank tracker, a content checker that scores text from 0 to 100, a keyword finder that suggests AI prompts, a cannibalisation checker and a backlink finder that looks for domains AI engines cite complete the set. Our free AI visibility tools compared guide covers its free ChatGPT check alongside the others.
Several of these tools look at your website or content, and the AI visibility checker asks ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini whether they mention your brand. That is useful work, but it is built around a brand or a page rather than a town, so it does not answer "which businesses does AI recommend in my town, and why not me?". For the second question, Peekl's free AI visibility check asks twelve questions worded for your trade and town on ChatGPT or Gemini, your pick, and shows who was named instead of you.
Does Geoptie track a city? Country-level tracking explained
Geoptie tracks "any four of those seven per brand": ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews, with no add-on prices, so Starter can already cover ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude. Location works by country, in 123 markets, and a prompt followed in three countries uses three of your prompts. We found no city-level tracking on its pricing or product pages.
For a national brand, country level is the right unit. For a dentist in Lyon or a plumber in Miami, the answer that matters is the one for their town, and a country-level result may not reflect it. Local AI visibility, measured by city shows how much. If you use a country-level tracker for a local business, write the town into every prompt.
What Geoptie does well
Breadth for the price. Starter includes daily tracking, competitor tracking with grouping, sentiment analysis, cited domains and URLs with trends over time, prompt discovery, unlimited GEO audits, content optimisation and content generation, a PDF brand report and CSV export. The choice of four engines out of seven is not tied to the plan, so you are not upsold for Claude or Gemini.
It also positions itself as a lower-cost alternative to a GEO agency, with tools to do the content work in-house. Geoptie is run by Textintel FZE, registered in Dubai, and says more than 1,000 businesses use it. For a team that wants to track and act in one place, it is a strong all-in-one option at this price.
A one-time Geoptie alternative for one location
Over a year, Geoptie Starter costs $490 billed yearly or $588 billed monthly, and Peekl's audit costs $99. With Peekl's optional monthly re-checks at $39, its first year is $567, between Starter's two billing options. The choice is less about price than about the job: a tracker with content tools for a team that will use them every week, or one reading of your town's answers with the fixes ranked for you.
If you have no one to run a GEO platform, a dashboard and a content generator add work rather than remove it. Our pricing guide compares subscriptions and one-time audits across the market.
What to look for in a Geoptie alternative
Most people compare Geoptie with other GEO platforms on price per prompt and the number of engines. For a local business, two other questions come first: does the tool ask about your town rather than your country, and does it tell you what the businesses AI recommends have that you do not?
Then look at what you will do with the output. A platform with content generation suits a team that publishes every week. An owner usually needs a short list of fixes, mostly on other websites: the directories, review sites and registers that AI trusts for local recommendations.
