Privacy & Cookie Policy
This policy explains what information Peekl collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We've kept it plain. If anything is unclear, email us at hello@peekl.io.
Who we are
Peekl operates the website at peekl.io and the audit service described on it. For questions about your data or this policy, contact us at hello@peekl.io. If you need our registered company details, ask and we'll provide them.
What we collect
- Information you give us. When you run a free check or register your interest, that's your business name, city, and email. When you buy, we handle payment through Stripe, which processes your card details directly, we never see or store your full card number.
- Business and audit data. The details you enter about your business (name, category, city, website, and an optional one-line description) and the results we generate about how AI assistants answer questions relevant to you.
- Technical and usage data. Basic information your browser sends (such as an approximate country derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you view), collected through our hosting and, where you allow it, analytics.
- Cookies. See the Cookies and analytics section below.
How we use it
- To run your checks and show your report and dashboard.
- To contact you about a check or your account, and, if you registered interest, to let you know when something is ready. We don't send spam.
- To take payment and manage subscriptions.
- To keep the service secure and working, including error monitoring and preventing abuse.
- To understand usage and improve the product, with consent where required.
Legal bases (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)
Where this applies, we rely on: performing our contract with you (running the service you asked for); our legitimate interests (keeping the product secure and improving it); your consent (for analytics and marketing cookies); and legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Cookies and analytics
- Essential cookies keep you signed in, remember your cookie choice, and detect your region so we can show the right consent options. These are always on.
- Analytics and marketing run through Google Tag Manager and the tags it loads. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland we use Google Consent Mode to withhold these until you accept them, and the consent banner lets you accept or decline. Elsewhere they may load by default. You can change your choice by clearing cookies for this site.
Who we share it with
We use trusted providers to run Peekl; they process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Inngest (background jobs), Sentry (error monitoring), and Google (Tag Manager and analytics). To generate audits we send generic customer-style questions to AI providers, OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic; those questions do not include your personal information. We do not sell your data.
International transfers
Some of these providers operate outside your country, including the United States. Where we transfer data internationally, we rely on the appropriate safeguards those providers offer.
How long we keep it
We keep lead and account data for as long as it's relevant to the reason we collected it or while your account is active, and we delete it on request unless we're required to keep it.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and object to or restrict certain uses. To exercise any of these, email hello@peekl.io. If you're in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Peekl is a tool for businesses and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
