Does ChatGPT recommend aesthetic clinics?
When clients ask ChatGPT to recommend an aesthetic clinic, it names specific businesses. We asked the questions clients really use, city by city, and recorded which aesthetic clinics it names and where it gets its answers. Each city below has its own page with the full list, and the AI visibility directory covers every trade and city we scan.

Across 6 cities and 84 answers, the assistants named 298 different aesthetic clinics, counted city by city, about 3.5 names per answer. That makes this a moderately concentrated market: on average the most-named business appears in 36% of a city's answers, enough to be the default pick without shutting everyone else out. The spread between cities is wide: in Chicago the leader was named in 64% of answers, in New York in 14%. A market like this rewards being the second or third name consistently: the leader is not unbeatable, and the assistants clearly keep room for two or three more.
ChatGPT and Gemini agreed on at least one aesthetic clinic in 4 of 6 cities and handed out entirely different names in the other 2. For aesthetic clinics the assistants leaned first on individual business websites and then directories and review sites, with luciaclinic.com and thecliniccompass.com cited most. One business site, luciaclinic.com, was cited 6 times on its own, the kind of exception that happens when a chain has many locations or a page answers one question very well. Before spending anything else, a aesthetic clinic who wants to be named should be complete and consistent on those two.
Aesthetic clinics are unusual: the assistants cite clinic websites directly more than in any other trade we scan, next to the American Academy of Dermatology and a few magazines' best-of lists. That cuts both ways. A clinic with clear treatment pages, named practitioners and stated qualifications can be cited on its own merits, while a clinic that leads with mood photography and no plain text is invisible to an assistant that reads rather than looks.

Common questions about aesthetic clinics and AI
How many aesthetic clinics does AI name in a typical answer?
Do ChatGPT and Gemini recommend the same aesthetic clinics?
Which websites does AI use to recommend aesthetic clinics?
How aesthetic clinics get recommended by AI
AI assistants recommend the aesthetic clinics they can find and trust. For aesthetic clinics that means being listed and well reviewed on luciaclinic.com and thecliniccompass.com before anything else, and having pages that state plainly what you do and who you help. A aesthetic clinic an assistant cannot find is one it cannot name (why your business might be invisible to AI); one it finds but ranks behind others is a different problem, covered in why AI recommends your competitors instead of you. For the owner's side of this trade, read AI search for aesthetic clinics.
