Claude check

Claude visibility checker

Claude is the assistant most trackers leave out, and the one that disagrees with the other two most often. Peekl asks it your customers’ questions with web search on, three runs per question, and records who it named, who it preferred and which pages it read. Claude is part of the $99 audit.

Why Claude

Why check Claude on its own

Claude is the assistant most tracking tools skip, and the one whose answer most often disagrees with the other two. It is built by Anthropic, searches the web through its own tool rather than Google, and tends to give shorter, more careful lists. That makes it a different door into the same customer: a business can be Claude’s first pick and absent from ChatGPT on the same question.

We have watched that happen inside one audit. An established London clinic with a 4.9 rating and 189 Google reviews was named by Claude in 13 of 45 answers, by Gemini in 6, and by ChatGPT in none. Same questions, same day, three verdicts. Claude also named fewer businesses per answer than ChatGPT in that audit, 5.1 against 7.2, while citing more pages, 9.0 against 6.3. A shorter list built from more reading is a higher bar, and clearing it says something the other two cannot.

Claude is smaller than ChatGPT and growing at nearly the same pace. Ofcom, the UK communications regulator, counted UK visits to Claude up 138% in the year to August 2025, against 146% for Gemini and 156% for ChatGPT. An assistant most trackers skip is not one most customers skip.

What you get

What the Claude visibility check reports

The audit reads 45 Claude answers and sets them beside the same questions on the other two assistants. Four things come out of it.

Your Claude count

Out of 45 answers, how many named you, and where in Claude’s list you appeared when they did. Claude’s lists are short, so a place on one carries weight.

Who Claude names instead

Every business Claude reached for across the 45 answers, ranked by how often, so you see who Claude trusts more than you.

Which pages Claude read

Claude searches, then cites. The audit keeps every cited page and sorts them into two piles: pages that mention you, and pages that carried the competitor instead.

The ranked plan, across three assistants

Up to twelve fixes in order of impact. Where Claude names you and the others do not, or the reverse, the plan says why and what closes the gap.

How it works

How the Claude check runs

A free first read, then one payment. Nothing to install or connect.

1

Run the free check first

Type your business and city. Twelve questions go to Gemini and you get a first result in minutes, which shows you the method before you decide on the audit.

2

The audit puts your questions to Claude

Fifteen customer phrasings, sent to Claude through Anthropic’s API with web search on, three times each, alongside ChatGPT and Gemini on the same questions.

3

Read Claude alone, then all three

The report shows Claude’s 45 answers on their own and beside ChatGPT and Gemini: who was named, who instead, which pages, and the fixes in order. One-time $99.

One audit, read closely

What Claude read before it recommended a clinic

Data: one full Peekl audit, 135 answers, 45 per assistant, run and read by the Peekl team. Last reviewed: September 18, 2026.

This is a single audit, not a study, so read it as an example of what Claude does rather than a rule. Asked fifteen questions a London physiotherapy patient would ask, three times each, Claude cited about nine pages per answer. The pages it leaned on most were a doctor-listing site, a health-insurer’s provider directory, a salon-and-clinic booking platform, Yelp, a clinic-comparison site and, above all, the websites of the clinics it was recommending.

Two things stand out against the other assistants. Claude read more and named fewer: 9.0 cited pages and 5.1 businesses per answer, where ChatGPT cited 6.3 pages and named 7.2 businesses. And it was the only assistant to name the client clinic regularly, in 13 answers out of 45, which is the pattern the by-hand guide describes as Claude’s higher bar: a business described clearly and consistently across the pages Claude reads gets named with confidence, and one described vaguely gets left out rather than guessed at.

Grouped bar chart from one Peekl audit of a London clinic, 45 answers per assistant: businesses named per answer, ChatGPT 7.2, Gemini 5.2, Claude 5.1; web pages cited per answer, ChatGPT 6.3, Gemini 9.6, Claude 9.0.
One audit, three assistants: Claude named fewer businesses per answer than ChatGPT while citing more pages. A single audit, shown as an example.

For your Claude presence the work is consistency: the same name, address and services on your own site, on the listing sites for your trade and on any insurer or professional directory that covers you. Claude cross-reads those pages, and a mismatch is what costs a mention. For the sources each assistant favoured across our wider scans, ChatGPT and Gemini only, see the 756-answer study.

How to track the sources AI cites
Check or track

Claude rank tracker, or a Claude visibility check?

A Claude rank tracker, sometimes sold as Claude rank tracking, a Claude visibility tracker or Claude brand monitoring, is a subscription tool that sends a fixed set of prompts to Claude on a schedule and charts how often a brand is mentioned or cited over time. Fewer tools offer it than offer ChatGPT tracking, and some list Claude as coming soon. Prices for the ones that do run from about $29 a month upward.

For one location, a chart updated daily says less than a count taken three times. Claude’s answer is rebuilt on every run, so the reading that holds is how often you appear across a set of questions, and whether that moved after you fixed something. The $99 audit gives you that count for Claude next to ChatGPT and Gemini, and optional monthly re-checks at $39 repeat it if you want the trend. Compare the Claude trackers if you run several brands and want a daily line.

Claude visibility checker: questions

Is there a free Claude rank tracker or checker here?
No. The free Peekl check runs on Gemini. Claude is checked inside the $99 audit, three times per question, and we would rather say that than dress a Gemini result up as a Claude one. What the free check covers
Which Claude does the audit talk to, and how?
Through Anthropic’s API with Claude’s web search tool enabled, so it looks businesses up and cites the pages it read, as it does in the app when search is on. Each question runs three times because the shortlist changes between runs. Anthropic on web search in Claude
Why does Claude name fewer businesses than ChatGPT?
Claude tends toward shorter, more careful lists and will hedge or ask for a location rather than guess. In one audit it named 5.1 businesses per answer against ChatGPT’s 7.2, while reading more pages. Fewer names means a higher bar to be one of them. Why Claude names fewer businesses
Do many tools track Claude?
Fewer than track ChatGPT. Several trackers cover ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity and list Claude as coming later. Peekl has checked Claude since the start, because the three assistants disagree often enough that leaving one out hides real gaps. The Claude trackers, compared
How do I get Claude to recommend my business?
Consistency first: identical name, address and services on your site, on the listing sites for your trade and on any professional or insurer directory that carries you. Claude cross-checks and drops what conflicts. Give it a few weeks, then measure again. No one can guarantee Claude a place on its list. How to improve your AI visibility
Can I follow my Claude count month to month?
Yes. Once the audit has run, monthly re-checks at $39 repeat the fifteen questions on all three assistants and report whether Claude named you more or less often than the month before. See monthly tracking
Is one audit enough to say how Claude behaves?
No, and we do not claim it is. The audit on this page is one clinic in one city, shown as an example of what the readout looks like. Our wider 756-answer study covers ChatGPT and Gemini only; Claude data at that scale will follow when we have it. The 756-answer study
Does Peekl suit an agency that wants Claude tracking for clients?
For local clients, yes, through the partner programme. For a national brand that needs hundreds of prompts refreshed every day, pick one of the few subscription trackers that already cover Claude. The partner programme
